Create and assign Profile Types

Learn how to create a profile type and set the permissions for each user.

Profile Types control what each user can do in the software. For example, you can give a user permission to raise purchase orders only, while preventing them from raising invoices or running period-end processes.


Create a new Profile Type

To create a new Profile type please follow the steps below:

  1. Click System Set-up.

  2. Click Users & Access Profiles.

  3. Click the Add Access Profile icon.

  4. Enter a Profile Name and Profile Description.

  5. Select relevant permissions for the profile using the menus.

  6. Click Submit or Submit and Add Another.

๐Ÿ“ŒNote: Only Master Users can assign or amend user profiles.

Assign a Profile Type

  1. Click System Set-up.

  2. Click User and Access Profiles.

  3. Click the User Access tab.

  4. Find the user within the list and double-click the Profile column.

  5. Select the relevant profile from the drop-down menu.

  6. Click Save.

๐Ÿ“ŒNote: If a user has under the profile column "Unassigned" they will have limited access to the software, until you will assign them the desired profile type.
